Structural Features
Angle seat valves typically consist of a valve body, valve plug, valve stem, actuator, and other components. The valve body has an angular structure, which allows for convenient connection to the corners or right angles of pipes during installation, saving space and facilitating pipeline layout. The valve plug is the key component that controls the opening and closing of the fluid and the flow rate. It is usually made of corrosion-resistant materials such as stainless steel and has good wear resistance and sealing performance. The valve stem is used to connect the valve plug and the actuator to transmit power to achieve the opening and closing action of the valve plug. The actuator can be pneumatic, electric, or hydraulic. Pneumatic actuators are more common, with advantages such as fast response speed and reliability.
Working Principle
Taking a pneumatic angle seat valve as an example, when compressed air enters the actuator's air chamber, it pushes the piston or diaphragm to move, driving the valve plug to open or close through the valve stem. Angle seat valves come in normally closed and normally open types. In a normally closed angle seat valve, the valve plug is closed when there is no air source signal. Only when compressed air of a certain pressure is introduced will the valve plug open, allowing fluid to pass through. The normally open type is the opposite; the valve plug is open when there is no air source signal, and the valve plug closes when compressed air is introduced.
Performance Characteristics
Angle seat valves are compact, small, and lightweight, making them easy to install and maintain. They have good sealing performance, effectively preventing fluid leakage, and are suitable for various fluid media with different pressures and temperatures.
