Working principle
Based on the upward and downward movement of a float in a vertical conical tube due to the effects of fluid buoyancy and gravity, the float's position reflects the flow rate. When the fluid to be measured flows upward through the conical tube, a differential pressure is generated on the upper and lower surfaces of the float, creating an upward force that causes the float to rise. As the float rises, the annular flow area between the float and the conical tube increases, and the fluid flow rate decreases, reducing the differential pressure. When the buoyancy force on the float is balanced by its weight, the float stabilizes at a certain height, and this height corresponds to a specific flow rate.
Structural features
