Low-Temperature Milk Filling with Nitrogen Preservation—JuKe Nitrogen Generator

Nitrogen generators can be used in milk packaging applications to prevent milk oxidation, inhibit microbial growth, and maintain package integrity.

1. Isolate from oxygen to slow down milk oxidation and spoilage.

The fat, protein, and other nutrients contained in milk are prone to reacting with oxygen, leading to deterioration of flavor, loss of nutritional value, and even the growth of microorganisms that cause spoilage. During the filling process, a nitrogen generator continuously supplies high-purity nitrogen gas, rapidly displacing and expelling the oxygen inside the packaging, thereby creating an oxygen-free environment. This process effectively interrupts the chain reaction of oxidation at its source, preventing issues such as rancid odors and darkening of color in milk, and providing a solid foundation for extending the product’s shelf life.

II. Inhibit microbial growth and ensure drinking safety.

As a nutrient-rich beverage, milk provides an ideal growth environment for microorganisms such as bacteria and molds. Oxygen, meanwhile, is essential for the survival of most harmful microorganisms. The nitrogen gas produced by nitrogen generators is an inert gas that does not participate in biological metabolic processes and can reduce the oxygen concentration inside packaging to below 1%. A low-oxygen environment significantly inhibits microbial growth and reproduction, reducing the risk of exceeding the permissible bacterial count and lowering the likelihood of milk spoilage during its shelf life, thereby ensuring consumer safety.

3. Maintain the packaging appearance and enhance product presentation.

After milk is filled into the packaging, introducing an appropriate amount of nitrogen gas into the package creates a certain internal pressure, ensuring that the packaging bag or box maintains a full and crisp shape. This not only prevents damage and leakage caused by compression during transportation and storage but also avoids cosmetic defects resulting from excessive contact between the milk and the inner walls of the packaging. Moreover, the stable packaging shape enhances the product’s visual appeal on the shelf, boosting consumers’ willingness to purchase.

4. Adapt to production needs and support compliant, efficient production.

The nitrogen generator can flexibly adjust the nitrogen output and purity according to the speed of the milk filling production line and the packaging specifications, making it suitable for production demands of varying capacities. Its continuous and stable gas supply capability prevents production line downtime caused by interruptions in nitrogen supply, thereby enhancing production efficiency. Moreover, the industrial nitrogen generation process does not require the addition of chemical preservatives, aligning with the “clean label” trend in food production. This helps companies meet food safety standards regarding food additives and microbial content, thus reducing compliance risks.
